FISA on the Mothership with the SJC - Liveblog has landed. Hearing Adjourned.

Live Blog II by Lurks a lot
Welcome to the sandbox! Joining us today will be several guests, with several panel presentations and of course, our perrenial favorites, and the not so perennial favorites, of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Yes, ladies; that means Whitehouse in da hizzouse!
The hearing is titled
"FISA Amendments: How to Protect Americans’ Security and Privacy and Preserve the Rule of Law and Government Accountability," so I think the panels will be tres interessant...and, of course, it's always wildly entertaining to watch the other side of the aisle contort wildly in defense of all things indefensible.

Generals Abizaid, Brown and Myers are going to be testifying before Rep. Henry Waxman's House Oversight and Government Reform Committee about the circumstances--as they understand them--regarding the murder by 'friendly fire' of Corporal Pat Tillman.
They've had to issue a subpoena for fall guy Lt. Gen. Philip Kensinger to appear, but it's unconfirmed as to whether he will show up.
And Rummy will be there, too! Catch the action on C-Span3here

Today's sandbox attraction is...yet more Gonzogate fun!
The Senate Judiciary committee will once again be taking "testimony" from our OG AG, Alberto Gonzales, regarding the patently corrupt and insidious questionable replacement of several US Attorneys. This time, though, Leahy has sent Abu a study guide for the questioning session; i.e., he'll have had plenty of time to research his answers. "I can't recall" should be well out of the question. Out of the answer? Anyhoo...it should be plenty amusing to watch him try to spin all of his obfuscations into one coherent yarn.
You can watch the action on C-SPAN 3.

With that, it seems tonight's action needs no further explanation, so let us now proceed to the cat herding. If anyone wants to help out in the sandbox here by hosting a diary, please hop below the fold and leave a comment to sign up.

What fun we have in the sandbox today - one Sara Taylor, Formerly Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Political Affairs to the White House, will be grilled by appearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee for a rousing bout of "I can't recall."
Her appearance is sure to be a fascinating one, given that Fielding himself requested she ignore the subpoenas.
"I respectfully request that you inform Ms. Taylor that the president has directed her not to provide this testimony," Fielding wrote in a letter Monday to Neil Eggleston, her lawyer. Eggleston did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
